Chaperone Information

 

Friday, Sept 4 Game

 

Thank you for volunteering to be a TCP band chaperone for Friday's football game against Oakridge HS.  We will be traveling to Woodforest Stadium on 7 air-conditioned school buses that will depart the high school at 5:30pm.
Chaperones will meet in the band hall @ 4:45pm to help gather and load supplies and to attend a brief chaperone meeting.
Please reply back to this email by Wed. Sept 2, to let me know if you are still available to ride the bus on Friday.  If your plans have changed ..its OKAY.  Just let me know so that I can have an accurate count of help for Friday nights game.

Basic Duties of a TCP Band Chaperone
**Chaperones arrive at the band hall 45 minutes before departure to help gather and load supplies.  Upon return to the band hall after an event, chaperones are asked to stay until everything is unloaded, washed and put away so that we can all leave when the students are dismissed.
**Chaperones must ride the bus to and from events.  If you have a preference to ride on the same bus as your child, please let me know.
**Chaperones will be asked to assist the band in various ways.  Such as, helping supervise students, helping with water/gaterade, moving equipment or whatever is needed.  You may or may not be able to watch the show from the stands.  This is especially true at contests.
**Chaperones do not dispense medicine.  One of the lead chaperones or directors carry a medical form book and you will know who this is --so that you can direct this person to the sick student for distribution of medicine if the parent has previously signed a consent form.
**Chaperones do not discipline students.  If a problem arises, chaperones are to tell the directors and they will take care of the matter.
**Chaperones have alot of fun on these trips getting to know one another and your student's friends.  Hope to see you on the bus.
